Alex The Great – AGAIN!

Last week, “The Great 8″ did it again. Washington Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin pulled off a repeat that the defending champion Red Wings could only dream about. He won his second consecutive Hart Trophy as the NHL’s MVP.
Ovechkin also took the NHLPA’s Lester B. Pearson Award, given to the most outstanding player as voted by fellow NHL players.
Ovechkin, 23, the NHL’s leading goal scorer in each of the last two seasons, stood out above the rest. With the win, he became the first forward to win back-to-back Hart Trophies since Wayne Gretzky in 1986 and 1987. Now that’s impressive!
