My name is Matt Leighton and I am the editor ’round these parts of the net. If you are new to Fanball, then we’re in the same boat. Blogger just doesn’t do the trick anymore and when the opportunity to write here came along, there was no way I was turning it down. Fanball has blogs for all 30 teams, a great layout, and great guys working behind the scenes.
I do this stuff for fun; I have always loved analyzing statistics and hockey. I don’t feel like I have to qualify myself as a diehard fan with some crazy story or a memorabilia room filled to the brim with Rod Langway rookie cards, just know this: I have been perusing (this word actually means ‘to examine in detail’, most people think it means the exact opposite) hockey stats since I was eight and I love the Washington Capitals.
If you are a regular reader, I thank you, seriously. If this is your first time stopping by, stick around won’t you? I like my posts to be succinct and to the point. Sometimes I’ll just ‘X’ out of a page (hockey or non-hockey) if I fear I am about to read a freaking essay. And I think am sure I am not the only one who does this.
Original, useful, and creative is the name of the game.
